In honor of the first day of spring, here are some great spring color and decor ideas for your home. Spring is the perfect time to add some color to every room in your house whether you do that with flooring or just small accent pieces. Aquamarine, marsala, tangerine, lavender herb, glacier grey, and titanium are just a few of the great colors that will be popular this spring and this year in all kinds of design and fashion. Tarkett Featured on National Geographic’s Show “Cabin Fever”

Recently, a wide range of residential flooring from Tarkett was featured in National Geographic Channel’s new show “Cabin Fever.” The episode that premiered on March 3rd, 2015, centered on construction of a log cabin in Minnesota, and it utilized different FiberFloor, laminate, and luxury vinyl tile from Tarkett.
In the kitchen, the FiberFloor was used to create a beautiful and practical design. The flooring is designed with woven fiberglass, foam, and tough resilient wear layers that stand up to water, moisture, scuffs, scratches, and indentations. Laminate flooring was used in the living room, hallway, and one of the bedrooms. The laminate is designed and engineered with 100% premium hardwood (cherry and oak). Also, the laminate is made for easy installation and it resists indentation. Luxury vinyl tile from Tarkett was used in the bathrooms and laundry room. The 16″ x 16″ tiles were installed with grouting to give the rooms an authentic tile aesthetic.
All of the flooring used in the home are from the same color family, so the flooring flows seamlessly from room to room. All of these beautiful floors provide beauty and durability, and you can have any of these floors in your home as well.

Rustic designs have been popular for many years, and adding modern functionality will make this style stay and evolve for many years to come. The most important part of having a modern rustic space in your home is to have an open floor plan. The open floor plan will allow the rustic flooring and decor to be shown off well with the modern elements in the room.
One of the main components to creating a modern rustic design is to bring the quality of natural materials such as wood and stone inside the home. Wood panels or other natural wall coverings such as stone will create a stunning natural look to the room. If wood panels are too expensive, then there are many realistic-looking wallpapers that have wood or stone patterns.
The most important feature of the room is the flooring. The floor is an essential part of making the design work. For a modern rustic look, you should use flooring that provides a strong, rustic finish that has different weathered visuals. Color Trends of 2015

Marsala and grey are the main colors for 2015, but there are also a few other colors that are going to be popular this year in interior design.

Last year’s color, English Royal Navy, remains a top color this year even though it was last year’s color. Navy is a classic color, just like grey, because it offers a timeless appeal to any home and design. Navy is also a universal color because it goes with so many other colors, so you can pair it with any furniture or accent pieces in your home.
Indian Ocean Teal is another color that will be popular this year. This color serves as a bridge color between the cool, light water colors that are already prevalent in many homes and the dark tones of classic navy or even black. This rich color will also add a nice look to any home.

Another color that will be used in many interior designs this year is British Racing Green. This color can be a playful, preppy, and youthful addition or accent in your home. The color is Coral, which is going to be a very popular color this year. You can use just a small splash of this color in your home, and it will immediately liven up the place.
You can use all of these colors in your home without having to paint the walls or re-do the entire flooring. Just adding rugs, throw pillows, accent pieces, or wall art will be enough to bring these beautiful colors to life in your home.
