Daltile Products Featured in a Luxury Home Tour

daltile 2Recently, Daltile tile products were featured in an Arlington, Texas home that was displayed in the Greater Fort Worth Builders Association 22nd Kaleidoscope of Homes luxury home show. The home was designed by AMA Interiors, Inc., and it used tile as a statement piece in almost every room. The kitchen used Daltile Cepac Lantern mosaic tile as a back-splash. The master bath uses unique patterning of Daltile’s Chenille White vein-cut limestone planks on the floor and large rectangle shapes arranged vertically in the shower. Accents of coordinating hexagon mosaics and chair rail help break up the shower wall and add aesthetic interest. Daltile City Lights mosaic was selected for the wine grotto, and the house always uses tile to highlight small areas in the home.
The home was one of six chosen for the tour based on its demonstration of new and innovative architectural design features, interior decorating, consumer electronics, appliances, building products, technology, and multimedia offerings.

Dal-Tile and Mohawk Group’s West Coast Design Studio

Screen Shot 2014-06-24 at 11.36.36 AMDal-Tile and Mohawk Group have announced the opening of their first West Coast design studio, which is located in San Francisco, California. This studio is the third to open in the United States. It’s opening follows the Dal-Tile studio, which opened in Philadelphia in May 2014, and the Dallas studio, which opened in September 2012.

Lori Kirk-Rolley, vice president of brand marketing at Dal-Tile, says that the company hopes to stimulate the design community in San Francisco and the West Coast with the addition of this studio. The design studio has almost 10,000 square foot of space. The studio is located in the historic C. Austin Gomez Building, which was built in 1916, and the building resides in the San Francisco Design District at 212 Utah Street.

The digital tools in the studio allow customers to bring their designs to life. Two LCD touch screens allow customers to visually flip through a catalog, view inspiration galleries, and build designs with a tile and stone visualizer tool. Light panels will show how the tile appears in different settings in the home. The Mohawk Group is also featured in the studio. Carpet and hard surface products from the Karastan, Lees, Bigelow, and Durkan brands are displayed as well.
