Shaw Industries Group, Inc announced on September 23, 2104 that they are introducing a new bio renewable adhesive, which will be used with the company’s commercial carpet tile products. This new adhesive is the first Cradle to Cradle Certified wet flooring adhesive, which represents a complete Cradle to Cradle flooring solution when the product is used with Shaw’s EcoWorx backed carpet tile. The new adhesive is pressure-sensitive and it is Cradle to Cradle Certified Silver. The product has achieved the Green Label Plus via CRI’s indoor air quality adhesive testing program and contributes to LEED.
Brenda Knowles, the vice president of commercial marketing and product development at Shaw, says that the company relentlessly pursues durability and sustainability for its clients with the use of renewable resources.
