Armstrong recently announced that the Architectural Remnants laminate flooring collection has taken top honors in the 2014 Good Design Awards. The Good Design is one of the world’s most recognized, prestigious, and oldest Design Awards program. It is organized annually by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design in cooperation with the European Center for Architecture, Art, Design, and Urban Studies.
Architectural Remnants is a collection that combines multiple species and colors that look as if they have withstood years of use or if they were pulled from a historic structure. The collection is available in random widths, and the products have the look of realistic graining, texture, and depth of reclaimed wood. The laminate flooring also has a 50 year residential warranty, VisionGuard, and Hydracore Plus. VisionGuard helps protect the floor’s surface from staining, fading, and wear-through. Hydracore Plus is a solid core built into the middle of the laminate, which allows the product to feel more like hardwood.
