Engineered Floors has created many beautiful, durable, and affordable carpets for customers since they opened in 2008. Now the company continues to expand to create carpet tile options for customers as well.
Recently, Engineered Floors announced that it is finalizing the site selection process for its new state-of-the-art carpet tile facility in Northwest Georgia.
“Our PureColor solution dyed nylon and polyester fiber represents the best in class fiber system with built-in stain and fade resistance,” said Robert E. Shaw, chairman and CEO. “The PureColor fiber system will be the backbone of what we believe will be a superior carpet tile product.”
Engineered Floors’ manufacturing model is to minimize energy, water usage, and raw material transportation costs. The company plans to build this facility on the same scale as the other Engineered Floors production facilities in the area.

Recently, Engineered Floors and Dream Weaver carpet opened a new distribution facility in Los Angeles on March 27, which they called their own “home court” because of March Madness. This new facility was opened to service dealers on the west coast. The theme of the grand opening was “Warehouse Madness.” The 125,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art facility is designed to inventory more than 225 skus of Dream Weaver and Engineered Floors products.
More than 200 dealers attended the grand opening so they could take advantage of the one-day-only Warehouse Madness sale. The dealers also got to enjoy food, festivities, and prizes. Engineered Floors and Dream Weaver create beautiful and soft carpet, and (most importantly) their carpets are very affordable! They focus on using one basic synthetic fiber to make all of their carpets. Their proprietary solution-dyed polyester carpet fiber called PureColor and PureSoft Cashmere. With the PureColor and PureSoft Cashmere carpet fiber, the color is in every part of the fiber. Many other carpets just have the color on the surface of the carpet fiber. As a result, the color can wear off or fade easily. However, with the solution-dyed PureColor and PureSoft Cashmere fiber, the color goes all the way through the fiber. That means that will not wear off or fade. In addition, this fiber takes less resources and energy to make.
PureSoft Cashmere truly lives Up to its name.
Engineered Floors and Dreamweaver use a unique fiber extrusion process to make this carpet feel as soft as a cashmere sweater. Each individual fiber is “extruded” into strands which are far finer than typical carpet fiber. Next, these fine strands are wound together with a much higher yarn content than regular carpet. The result is a fluffy, bouncy, and resilient carpet that is perfect for active families.
No Stains. No Problems.
PureColor and PureSoft Cashmere are equipped with SoilShield protection system. This helps to block soil from adhering to the carpet fibers and keeps the carpet looking new. The PureColor and PureSoft Cashmere carpets also have Limited Lifetime Fade and Limited Lifetime Stain warranty. In addition, all of the these carpets are certified Green Label Plus by the Carpet and Rug Institute.
Carpets from Engineered Floors and Dream Weaver will add beauty and value to your home for years. Furthermore, you will not have to stress about mud or spills ruining your carpet. The protection provided by the solution-dyed PureColor and PureSoft Cashmere carpet fibers is truly amazing. Best of all, these beautiful, durable, and soft carpets are available at America’s Source for wholesale pricing on flooring, Carpet Express.

Engineered Floors may be less than two years old, but it continues to make a big impact in carpet manufacturing. Located in Calhoun, Georgia, Engineered Floors is making a tremendous impact in the low to mid range priced carpet. Without a doubt, solution dyed polyester is the best value in carpet today, and no one makes it as good looking or as cheap as Engineered Floors.
The price is cheap but this is the highest quality polyester in the carpet industry. Brand new state of the art fiber extruders, twisters, and heat setters produce the durable fiber that makes these fantastic products. It’s fantastic (not just because it is cheap) but because it performs great too. The fiber is solution dyed which makes it extremely stain proof, and able to stand up to aggressive cleaning. It’s a filament so it will not fuzz, and the fiber has a high twist level which makes it very durable.
Carpet Express sells a style called “Cadillac” for $1.22 a square foot. This is probably the best deal on higher end residential carpet I have ever seen. This is an exceptional value for a 45oz casual trackless carpet.
Engineered Floors was founded by Bob Shaw (the founder and former CEO of Shaw Industries). It will be interesting to see what Engineered Floors will do next!
