Ask the Experts: Home Depot Carpet
Question: We purchased carpet from Home Depot manufactured by Dixie Home. Began to notice matting and packing down in front of chairs, then in high traffic areas. We have had inspection by Stainmaster and Dixie Home. They say that is normal, not covered as normal traffic, and I have no claim. This began to show after only one and a half years. Warranty was for 7 year against normal wear, against matting and packing. We are in our 60s, and are not in this home but around 8 months of the year, so we just want people to question and read the fine print on the warranty.
Sincerely,
Anita & David
Answer: I am sorry that you are not happy with your carpet that you purchased at Home Depot, but some carpets just look more matted or crushed compared to other types. For instance, a real loose Frieze with a long yarn might look matted compared to short tight twisted carpet. It will not matter what the yarn is, it will just appear to look matted and that’s why the warranty may not apply in your situation.
I don’t know this for sure, but Stainmaster is usually pretty good about taking care of claims. I just don’t know if you were sold the right carpet for what your expectations were. Sometimes inexperienced sales personnel don’t really listen to what the customer’s needs are, and they get lost in just trying to close the sale.
If we can in any way help you get the proper carpet for your home, just call or email us here at Carpet Express. We’d be glad to help you get the carpet you’re really looking for.
Thanks,
Mike Jones

Floor Builder:
When I wanted to re do the carpet in my home office I had no clue what I was doing. Instead of going to a place like Home Depot or Lowe’s, buying the materials, and doing it myself I opted to get it done professionally. It was a no hassle project. I got to sit around and drink lemonade while I watched people work on my new floors! And the price was very reasonable!

What’s better, shopping from big places like Home Depot or smaller places like Americarpet (www.americarpetfloors.com).
I mean sure, Home Depot might have very low priced carpet in some instances, but the quality of the carpet is absolutely horrendous. In comparison, you could just go to Americarpet and buy the carpet that is a little bit higher priced but will last you a lot longer.

I might be a little biased
but I’d have to say shopping at Carpet Express would be the best option.
We have a larger selection than other flooring stores, and much, much better prices.
In most cases, Home Depot would be the worst option, as their prices are horribly expensive, and their sales staff can’t compete with that of a flooring specialist.
solar panel construction:
I’m the sort of guy who loves to taste original stuff. Currently I’m building my own solar panels. I am doing it all alone without the help of my staff. I am utilizing the net as the only way to acheive that. I stumbled upon a really amazing website that explains how to contruct pv panels and so on. The place explains all the steps required to solar panel construction.
I’m not sure about how accurate the info given there iz. If some people over here who have experience with these works can have a peak and give your feedback in the thread it will be grand and I would highly value it, cauze I extremely like solar panel construction.
